You can ask your local vet for more information on obtaining a dog licence. “Aggressive dogs” need to wear a muzzle in public and all dogs must be on a leash unless in a dog park or area that allows for them to run free. In Berlin, your pet needs to be leased and micro-chipped. In open areas, a lead of two metres is sufficient, and in more crowded spaces you would need to use a leash no longer than one metre in length.
